Final Frontier
A visually spectacular 360° journey through the history and future of Space exploration. Discover the challenges and dangers we need to consider as we begin to leave our planet, and what we might encounter as we travel into the galaxy.
For most of our history, we have only been able to observe the Cosmos. To reach Space, humanity has had to invent and refine technology that allows us to overcome the gravitational pull of the Earth. Enormously powerful rockets with huge amounts of fuel are required to launch us into the Final Frontier.
Earth is one of eight planets in the Solar System. From afar, planetary orbits make the Solar System appear wide and flat, yet it's important for spacefarers to know that the orbits are not perfect circles, and that the Sun is not at the exact centre of the Solar System. The gravitational pull of everything in space affects everything else, so the true motion of the planets is more complex than it may at first seem.
How far can we travel with current technology? Will we ever be able to reach planets orbiting other stars?
